Late Update!
I'm deep into development on my next project, but I had a few thoughts about Cataclysm that I couldn't shake. The following changes have been made:
Force Bombs: a little floatier, no longer explode when another bomb touches them, auto-deploy after 20 seconds
Blitz Bombs (this was my primary reason for opening up the game project again): Blitz Bombs will now behave more as mines. They're even more floaty, and if you touch one, it will explode. To balance this a bit, they now have a much shorter throwing range.
Sticky Bombs: Now come in sets of four instead of two. You will occasionally see some unusual behaviour with them stuck in place if a sticky bomb is stuck to another sticky bomb and that sticky bomb is removed, buuuut I decided that this is acceptable for now. I may go back in again to fix this as I have a better idea now of how I might do that.
EDIT: I have actually made a few more small adjustments, including increasing the Force Bomb's blast size to a brand new 'X-Large" size. The Blitz Bombs also have spikes on them to better communicate that they shouldn't be touched. I don't know for sure if I'll do it, but I'm thinking about creating another stage. There are so many elements to play around with and mix together-- it's just a matter of coming up with something worthwhile, and then putting in the time to playtest it.
Enjoy!
